David Munoz

Head Coach

Coach Munoz is in his fourth year as Head Coach of the Lamar High School Baseball Team and 2015 will be Coach Munoz's 17h season with the Redskins. He is a graduate of UT-San Antonio. Coach Munoz began his coaching career at Cathedral High School in El Paso where he served as Head Coach for two years following three years as an assistant. Coach Munoz teaches Accounting, Finance, and Business Law in the Magnet School of Business at Lamar.

 


Brian Roberts

Assistant Varsity Coach

Infield / Outfield

Coach Roberts is in his 10th year of coaching baseball at Lamar High School and has coached for 9 years prior to Lamar, coming to the Redskins from Westfield and Clements High School and the First Colony ISD.  Coach has taken two teams to the Regional Finals and has coached in numerous playoff games, coaching both outfielders and pitchers.  He graduated and lettered in baseball at Texas Lutheran University after a high school career that included a senior year record of 35-3.



Bill Baggett

Assistant Varsity Coach

Pitching

This is Coach Baggett’s second year coaching baseball at Lamar. He has over 30 years coaching experience, having coached in Blanco, Leander and Houston school districts.  Coach Baggett grew up in Houston and played baseball at Sterling High School. He was drafted out of school by the Cincinnati Reds and spent several years in the Reds organization.


Shawn Doctor

 Junior Varsity Coach

Coach Doctor is in his eighth year as the coach of the Junior Varsity baseball team.  Shawn’s hometown is Houston Texas where he played baseball at Bellaire High School.  He attended the University of Colorado before graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Archaeology.  Coach Doctor teaches History of Americas at Lamar.
