Coach Munoz is in his fourth year as Head Coach of the Lamar High School Baseball Team and 2015 will be Coach Munoz's 17h season with the Redskins. He is a graduate of UT-San Antonio. Coach Munoz began his coaching career at Cathedral High School in El Paso where he served as Head Coach for two years following three years as an assistant. Coach Munoz teaches Accounting, Finance, and Business Law in the Magnet School of Business at Lamar.
Assistant Varsity Coach
In his second season with the Lamar baseball coaching staff is Rodney Garza. Coach Garza is in his 6th year of coaching. Prior to joining the Texan staff, he had coaching stops at Aldine Davis High School and most recently at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to coaching Garza spent his high school career at Magnolia High School. After high school Garza spent his first two collegiate seasons at Paris Junior College before rounding out his baseball career at the University of Texas at San Antonio. While at UTSA Garza helped the Roadrunners to win the Western Athletic Conference Championship. Garza currently sits number two on UTSA’s career fielding percentage list at .992. At Lamar, Garza currently teaches AP World History and Human Geography
Assistant Varsity Coach
This is Coach Baggett’s second year coaching baseball at Lamar. He has over 30 years coaching experience, having coached in Blanco, Leander and Houston school districts. Coach Baggett grew up in Houston and played baseball at Sterling High School. He was drafted out of school by the Cincinnati Reds and spent several years in the Reds organization.

This is Coach Sarabia’s 4th year in education and 1st year at Lamar High School. He previously taught Algebra I and coached football and basketball at Pin Oak Middle School. He is currently teaching Geometry and is the JV baseball coach at Lamar. In 2015, Coach Sarabia earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of Houston.
Sophomore Head Coach
This is Coach Kansas’s 17th year coaching the Lamar sophomore team leading the team to an impressive 143-47 record during his tenure. Coach Kansas began his high school baseball career in Houston at Stratford High School. He graduated from Texas State University, with a degree in Excercise and Sports Science.
